OSHA Lock Out / Tag Out Standards:

Lockout and tagout devices must be singularly identified; there can only be once device that controls energy; lockout and tagout cannot be used for other purposes, and they must meet the following requirements:

They must be able to withstand their environment for as long as they occupy it. Master Lock Safety Series products are produced with high quality metals to withstand almost any safety lockout environment. Master Lock safety lockout padlocks come in these three varieties:

• Xenoy - Lightweight and non-conductive
• Aluminum - Offered with powder-coated or anodized finish

Devices shall be standardized within a facility in at least one of the following criteria: color, shape or size. All Master Lock Safety Series products are available in safety red. Choose from u p to nine colors for the safety padlocks to customize your lockout system by department, responsibility, etc.
